Holiday Cheer at Studio Deloryan: Winding Down for the Season

As the days grow colder, we at Studio Deloryan are preparing to wrap up an eventful year. Our team is looking forward to a well-deserved two-week holiday filled with warm blankets, hot cocoa, and time spent with loved ones. Before we step away to recharge, we want to take a moment to reflect on 2024 and share some holiday cheer.

Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Change

For those unfamiliar with us, we are the team behind Horse Reality, a management game that combines strategic gameplay with a deep appreciation for horse genetics. Since its release by our founder, Deloryan Hommers, in late 2018, our studio has grown from a one-person project into a thriving team of over 10 team members!

This year, like the previous ones, we’ve learned a ton of new things and improved many things in the backend of our game. If you’re curious about the progress we made with Horse Reality in 2024, keep an eye on the news section of the game—we’ll soon be sharing more about the improvements and updates we’ve worked on the past year.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we step into 2025, our goals go further than just improving Horse Reality for its current players. A big focus will be on expanding its reach and welcoming new players to the game! Growing our audience is a priority, as we aim to introduce even more people to the colourful world of pixel ponies!

With the foundations we’ve built in 2024, the new year will be full of possibilities. By continuing to grow our community and enhance the game, we aim to build on everything we’ve accomplished thus far, all while staying true to the passion that started this journey.

Holiday Wishes from our Team

As we prepare to step away from our desks and enjoy some downtime, some of our team members wanted to share their own holiday wishes with you all:

“I'm wishing you a relaxing holiday with loved ones, pets, and of course, good food! Let's recharge our creativity for next year.” - Marlies, Artist

“Happy Holidays dearest Communeighty! You’ve made 2024 an amazing year, and I’m so excited to enter 2025 with you! Thank you for being here with us, and here’s wishing you a relaxing, cosy, and joy-filled end of the year ♥️” - Ven, Community Manager

“Wishing you a galloping good holiday season and a fantastic New Year ahead! For those of the Horse Reality, thanks for being part of it—your feedback helps us create a better game, one stride at a time. Here's to another year of epic competitions, great content, and more horse-powered fun! 🎮🐴🎉 ” - Sparrowhawk, Content Creator & QA

“Let’s enjoy some cosy moments with hot cocoa and a comfy blanket.  To those having a tough time—things will get better at some point. Sending you all the strength and warmth.” - Deloryan, Founder & CEO

“Wishing all of our community - real and virtual, two legs or four - the best in festive cheer! The weather has been consistently grey and wet here so for those of you in this hemisphere experiencing the same, here's hoping for a break in the clouds and some beautiful sunny and frosty winter mornings! For those of you for whom winter is a distant memory at the moment, fingers-crossed for some long, warm summer evenings to enjoy.” - Verdanta, Lead Engineer

Warmest Wishes for the Holiday Season

While many look forward to the holidays, we know this season isn’t easy for everyone. For some, it’s a time of joy and celebration, but for others, it can bring challenges or reminders of loss. Remember, it’s okay to take time for yourself, reflect, and find comfort where you can.

Whether you’re celebrating with family, spending time quietly reflecting, or simply enjoying a well-deserved break, we wish you warmth and comfort this holiday season. Thank you for being part of our journey—we’re excited to continue this adventure together in 2025!
